EVESHAM Town Council has welcomed a new councillor to its ranks.
Cllr Emma Haynes was co-opted onto the council as a member for Twyford Ward at the last meeting on Monday, September 8.
The mother, who lives in Bredon View in the town, said she was "really pleased".
Cllr Haynes became well known in Evesham and to the council at the beginning of this year when she set up Photos and memories of days past in Evesham on Facebook.
From there she has gone onto organise a number of events in the town aimed at promoting Evesham as a place to visit.
She takes the seat left by Cllr Ivor Stewart, of St Andrew Road, aged 74, who died peacefully at Alexandra Hospital, on June 10.
To raise any concerns with Cllr Haynes contact her on ehaynes137@hotmail.com or call 07870386328.
