SOME of the world's most venomous snakes and a Caiman crocodile were at the venomous night put on by the Evesham and District Reptile and Exotics Club.

The first event of its type was said by organisers to be a great success as the event, hosted by the House of Venom, saw people bring along rattle snakes, cobras, Gaboon vipers and even the inland taipan, the most venomous snake in the world.

On the evening visitors were taught various handling techniques, about the different types of venom, the care needs of each species and about the animals natural environments.

The House of Venom even brought along a Caiman to the show.

EDRECS next monthly meet will be on the Sunday, November 2, which will also be the club's Hallowe'en party.

There will be face painting, fancy dress competitions for the kids and adults, apple bobbing and other kids games, pumpkin carving and all our usual animals, plus the newest member, Ahanu, a six month old Racoon.

The event will be take place at the Badsey Recreation Club between 1am and 5pm.
