A LADY Gaga super fan was treated to the surprise of her life for her 40th birthday party when her husband took her backstage to meet the eccentric singer.

Becki Caulton, who is from Evesham, but now lives in Rugby, said she was "lost for words" when she was introduced to the woman whose career she followed since the beginning.

"I have followed Lady Gaga's career since the Just Dance single was released with great interest," she said. "I have always found her music to be very inspiring and her image unique and sometimes wacky."

So when Mrs Caulton opened her birthday present from husband Byron in March she was delighted to be heading off to the ArtRave tour in Birmingham in October where she sat in a special area, met with the star and had a photo taken with just the two of them.

"I was in such shock when he told me I couldn't speak and was shaking," she said. "The show was wonderfully creative and incredibly lively, with some real moments between Lady Gaga and I when she sang to me with lots of eye contact at her piano."

After the concert Mrs Caulton and 19 others were taken back stage to meet Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta.

"She ordered a red wine and coca cola and was happy to talk about her tour, current music albums and much more," added Mrs Caulton.

"I found Lady Gaga to be remarkably down to earth, very humble, approachable and had a wicked sense of humour.

"That will be one night I won't be able to forget, or top. And it's all thanks to my wonderful husband and daughter for the gift of a lifetime."
