MIDLANDS Air Ambulance Charity has launched a new marketing campaign to attract more volunteers.

The appeal focuses on how the organisation’s volunteers help save lives in the region and challenges members of the public get on board and do the same.

Alison Hill, volunteer manager at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “We have an extremely supportive family of 80 volunteers, who assist at fundraising events, cheque presentations and talks.

“As we operate the largest air ambulance region in the UK, unfortunately there are still some areas of the Midlands where we have very few, if any, volunteers living locally, which is why we launching our new volunteering drive.

“We want to demonstrate that everyone associated with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity helps saves lives, whether they are one of our highly skills doctors or paramedics or choose to support the charity that solely funds the service.

“Each life-saving air ambulance mission costs £2,500 and our volunteers are hugely important in helping us to raise awareness of our charitable status and assisting us at fundraising events around the region.”
