AN appeal to find a lost cat in Pershore had a happy ending.

Three-year-old Clive – a “much-loved" family pet – had gone missing from the Conningsby Drive area on Friday, June 26.

But an appeal in the Evesham Journal proved successful, with a member of the public reporting a sighting of the grey and white male cat.

Jacqueline Lloyd-Lucas, who was looking after the feline for her daughter when it disappeared, went to investigate and found Clive.

It is thought he had been in staying in barns and fields near to where he was found.

She said: “We are ecstatic and absolutely delighted.

“It is a huge relief and without the newspaper’s support this would not have happened.

“Clive had lost a lot of weight but we cleaned him up and he is doing fine.

“My daughter was distraught when he went missing but now she is so thankful from the bottom of her heart.”
