A FUN football match in aid of St Richard's Hospice is taking place at Broadway United Football Club on Saturday August 8.

The game is in memory of Steve Remfry who was dedicated to youth football for more than 12 years until his death from cancer in August last year. His love of football through his son, Nick, and his friends encouraged him to follow Broadway, Badsey and Bretforton junior football

The Steve Remfry memorial match will be between Broadway Young Legends and Badsey Young Legends with kick-off at 6pm. The bar will be open for spectators from 4pm.

The friendly match has been organised through Mr Remfry's friends and family to raise money for the hospice which offered him the best care and support possible.

There will also be a raffle at the game offering generous prizes from hotel stays, meals out, stadium passes to Old Trafford. There is also a case of wine from Nisa Local, Broadway, £100 Tesco shopping voucher and £25 Global Beauty voucher courtesy of Budget Skips, Honeybourne; Zanussi cylinder Vac from of Abbey Appliances, Evesham; family pass to All Things Wild, Honeybourne; West Midlands Safari family pass; Russells Fish and Chips meal for two from Julie Edgecox; MOT and winter car check from Broadway Garage, plus bottles of wines and spirits from friends and colleagues of his wife, Julie, and many more prizes.

On the day there will be a tombola and disco.
