PUPILS at an Evesham school have let their creative sides run wild to get an MP on board with their campaign.

Mid Worcestershire MP Nigel Huddleston received a number of pictures from year six pupils at St Egwins CE Middle School as part of the ‘Send My Friend To School’ campaign.

Each picture contained the pupils’ individual thoughts on what they would do if they were world leader.

The pupils requested that Mr Huddleston forward the pictures to the Prime Minister, which he did.

He said: "I was really impressed by the suggestions that were made — perhaps St Egwins do indeed have some future leaders in their school.

“It is a tragedy that more than 57 million children around the world do not go to primary school.

“Investing in education is vital, as education provides children with the best route out of poverty, giving them the power to improve their own lives and their country. Globally we must push for education for both girls and boys.

“The students at St Egwin’s Middle School should be proud to know that they have joined so many others to be part of a campaign to provide a better future for every child.”
