A RADIOGRAPHER at a Worcestershire hospital who leads a double life as a fitness instructor has been named as finalist in an inspirational health competition.
CT superintendent at Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital Emma Land has made it to the final five contestants in the The Body 2015 competition run by fitness and wellbeing magazine Women’s Health.
The contest celebrates women who serve as an inspiration through fitness and healthy living, with the winner being featured on the magazine’s cover.
The 40-year-old, who has worked at the Alex for the past 16 years, said she had decided to get into shape at age 27, when she was a size 18 and weighed more than 14 stone. Today she runs a number of fitness classes in Redditch.
She said: "I am passionate about health and wellbeing inside and outside of working in radiology.
“I believe it's so important in helping to live a happy and fulfilling life.
“I never expected to get this far in the competition.
“I feel like I’m in a dream, it’s completely unreal."
