EVESHAM writer Sue Johnson is one of ten writers to be shortlisted for the international Romance Writing Life Award, 2015.
The competition is jointly organised by Mills & Boon, W H Smith and Kobo and it was open to writers in the UK and America.
Entrants were required to submit the synopsis and first chapter of a romance novel.
Sue said she was "thrilled" to make the shortlist with her novel, 'Apple Orchard, Lemon Grove.'
Sue runs workshops at Number 8 Community Arts Centre, Pershore, and she will be running a workshop on
novel writing at next year's Evesham Festival of Words.
Her first novel Fable’s Fortune was published by Indigo Dreams Publishing in August 2011 and she is a Writers’ News Home Study Tutor.
Sue added: "I am a great believer in recycling ideas – what begins as a poem can be re-created as lyrics for a song, a piece of flash fiction, a short story or a scene from a play or novel.
"The space inside your head is a place of enchantment – a series of pathways leading to creative ideas."
