YOUNG performers from Pershore have been busy putting the finishing touches to their production of the classic musical Oliver.

Members of Pershore Operatic and Dramatic Youth Society (PODYS) have spent many months rehearsing for the shows at Number 8 Community Arts Centre this weekend.

Paul Turvey, director and choreographer, said: "Rehearsals have been amazing. The standard of talent with these kids is absolutely amazing.

"The kids have all worked so hard with it. There are parts of the show that are quite challenging, they really have risen to the challenge and they have put a lot of hard work into it."

The musical director is Andrew Hemming and the show is on from Friday, February 19 to Saturday, February 20.

Tickets are now sold out.
