WORCESTER residents can now eat restaurant food at home thanks to a new delivery service in the city.

Deliveroo, which delivers by scooter or bicycle, has launched a new service in the city taking freshly cooked food from restaurants like Burger Works Tonic, PizzaExpress and Carluccio’s, to customers at home or at work in 32 minutes. Customers can also order up to a day in advance.

More than 50 jobs will be created over the course of the first year and more than 20 restaurants have signed up to the new service so far.

Jeremy Rawlinson, general manager at Deliveroo, said: “We’re extremely excited to be launching in Worcester and we’re looking forward to bringing some of the town’s delicious dishes straight from the hands of local chefs to customers’ doors.

“Worcester is a multicultural and prosperous area with a diverse range of restaurants and we have seen a real appetite for the service.

“We already have a number of great partners across the town and we are excited to expand and widen the variety of restaurants on offer to our customers in Worcester over the course of the next year.”
