A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a car crashed into a wall in Bewdley.

West Midlands Ambulance and West Mercia Police attended the A456, Stourport Road, this morning (Thursday, June 30) at around 6.25am to reports of a Ford Fiesta crashing into a wall.

A spokesman from WMAS said: "There was one patient - a woman in her 20s - who was treated for back pain and taken to Worcester Royal Hospital.

"We had one ambulance in attendance."

A spokesman from West Mercia added: "Police were called shortly before 6.30am this morning (Thursday) to reports that a black Ford Fiesta crashed with a wall on the B4195, in Bewdley.

"Road closures were in place in both directions while the recovery of the vehicle took place."

Stourport Road was closed in both directions while emergency services attended the crash.

The road has since re-opened.
