EXPERIENCED backs Ryan Mills and Ryan Lamb are soon expected to feature for Warriors in the British and Irish Cup.

The pair, both former Gloucester players, have resumed training at Sixways after injury but will not be involved in Worcester’s home match against Munster A today at 3pm.

Argentinians Agustin Creevy and Leonardo Senatore have returned to the club this week after representing the Pumas in the Rugby Championship.

But lock Christian Scotland-Williamson has been suffering from a back problem and faces a spell on the sidelines.

Warriors head coach Carl Hogg said: “Ryan Lamb and Ryan Mills are training, so they are fully integrated into rugby now.

“We should look to re-integrate them into the playing group within the next week or two. They are both experienced players and charismatic people and they add to the dynamic which is already a vibrant group.”

He added: “The two Argentinians are back in training. They are full of stories and full of life. It all adds to the dynamic and there’s a great vibe around the club.”

The giant Scotland-Williamson made his first Warriors start in last month’s home victory against Moseley in the Greene King IPA Championship.

But Hogg said: “Christian has got an issue with his back and we’re looking into it at the moment. It might be a little more of a long-term problem than we first suspected. “Christian is a unique athlete and a big man so we have to make sure we get his back right for the long-term.

“He’s got an issue with his vertebrae that we have to resolve and I am not sure of the timeline of that at the moment.”

Hogg believes Warriors’ young guns and coaches learned a lot from last Sunday’s 26-19 success at Nottingham in their opening Pool Three match.

Sam Vesty and Mefin Davies, who have stepped up to oversee Warriors’ British and Irish Cup campaign, are benefitting from the challenge.

“It’s a great experience for Sam and Mefin because the Cavaliers’ Aviva A team rugby is a different challenge to the British and Irish Cup,” Hogg said.
