SEVEN Pershore Swimming Club youngsters secured 29 podium finishes at the Aquae Sulis Grand Prix in Bristol.

They also smashed personal bests at the tough Level One 50-metre meeting.

Hannah Woodcock won two golds and three silvers in the girls’ 10 years age group. She took the 100m breaststroke in one minute 35.43 seconds and the 200m in 3.20.90.

She added silvers in the 200m individual medley with a long-course PB of 3.04.88, the 50m backstroke in 39.24 and 50m freestyle in 33.83.

Woodcock clocked PBs in the 100m freestyle (1.14.32) and 50m breaststroke (46.27).

Simon Sweatman won four medals in the 11 to 12 age group and his best display was in the 100m backstroke with a gold in 1.14.68.

He added silver in the 400m freestyle in 5.05.36 and bronzes in the 200m backstroke in 2.37.11 and 50m freestyle in 29.37.

Sweatman also did the 200m individual medley (2.46.04), 100m butterfly (1.17.48) and 50m breaststroke (43.64).

Club-mate Will Gearey swam 14 long-course PBs with two golds, five silvers and two bronzes.

He won the 400m freestyle in 5.01.77 and 400m individual medley in 5.45.68.

Silvers followed in the 200m individual medley (2.38.92), 200m freestyle (2.21.55), 100m freestyle (1.04.01), 100m butterfly (1.14.17), 50m backstroke (34.77) and 50m butterfly (32.35).

Gearey added bronzes in the 100m backstroke (1.16.35) and 200m breaststroke (3.07.21).

Megan Annis, 11, Patrick Heeks, 11, Alexandra Barry, 11, and Isabella Woodcock, 12, are fairly new to the longer-distance format but were unlucky not to claim medals.

Annis swam the 200m individual medley (2.57.00), 100m freestyle (1.10.67), 100m butterfly (1.21.97), 50m backstroke (36.75), 50m breaststroke (42.40), 50m freestyle (31.88), 100m backstroke (1.19.50), 50m butterfly (35.37), 100m breaststroke (1.34.35) and 200m freestyle (2.44.49).

Barry did the 200m individual medley (3.03.13), 100m freestyle (1.14.49), 200m backstroke (3.06.61), 100m butterfly (1.29.58), 50m backstroke (39.69), 50m breaststroke (48.60), 50m freestyle (34.78), 100m backstroke (1.26.96), 50m butterfly (37.09), 100m breaststroke (1.44.49) and 200m freestyle (2.45.10).

Heeks tackled the 400m freestyle (5.30.61), 100m freestyle (1.10.77), 200m backstroke (2.52.65), 50m backstroke(37.20), 50m butterfly (38.14), 200m freestyle (2.37.44), 50m freestyle (33.74) and 100m backstroke (1.20.29).

Isabella Woodcock was fourth in the 100m breaststroke (1.27.87) and 200m (3.14.53). She clocked PBs in the 50m backstroke (39.88), 50m breaststroke (39.59) and 50m freestyle (33.96).
