HILL and Moor have picked up their first Wychavon Parish Games crown.

They were declared overall champions at the Bell Inn ahead of runners-up Eckington, who had won for the last two years.

Hill and Moor parish organisers Michelle Orgill and Darren Selvey were rewarded for their hard work.

Attended by about 100 people, event winners and runners-up were handed trophies by Ed O’Brien, Don Elt and Tim Durrant from Severn Trent, who supported Wychavon Sport financially.

The overall trophies were presented by Wychavon District Council chairman Lynne Duffy.

The small parishes accolade was won by Wick and the medium parishes by Bretforton, while the award of merit went to Wyre Piddle.

Next year’s annual meeting will be on Monday, January 26, at Pershore Civic Centre.
