TWO headers from Alfie Dunn helped Evesham United stretch their unbeaten league run with a 3-1 win over Tavistock in the Southern League Division One South.

Dunn nearly opened the scoring nine minutes in after a ball was drilled across the six-yard box by Levi Steele, but he would not be denied in the 19th minute as his powerful header went in off the underside of the crossbar following Daniel Djurovic's whipped ball in.

Within the first minute of the second period, Evesham look destined to make it two after Steele was played through on goal but his shot didn't trouble the keeper.

Evesham had their chances to make it 2-0 and were punished eight minutes into the second half when Tavistock equalised through Alex Battle.

But Dunn would once again prove his ability in the air as he nodded home to put The Robins back into the lead ten minutes after conceding.

At 2-1 there was always a chance they would be caught out late on, but in-form striker Levi Steele put the game to bed after he took it around the keeper and slotted into an empty net.

As a result of their fourth win in seven, The Robins have moved up to 7th place and are just three points outside of the playoff places.
