MANAGER Paul Collicutt hopes Evesham United can continue their goal-scoring form when they tackle Tiverton Town in a “must-win” game at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium tomorrow (3pm).

The Robins followed up their 5-2 victory over Larkhall Athletic with a 7-0 thrashing of basement boys Bashley on Tuesday.

The back-to-back bumper home wins have seen them move within four points of the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West play-off places in sixth.

Ninth-placed Tiverton have also got hopes of promotion this season and Collicutt urged his players to maintain their attacking intent.

“The lads did what they needed to do against Larkhall and Bashley but Tiverton will be the hardest out of the three games,” Collicutt said.

“We scored five on Saturday and seven on Tuesday, so I just hope we saved a few goals for Tiverton.

“It will be difficult as they will be doing their best to get into the play-offs themselves, so it is a must-win game for both teams.

“But we know what we have to do and, if we can carry on doing that, we will keep our season alive.”

With Kevin Sawyer out due to illness, Collicutt landed former Mangotsfield United keeper Conor Thompson on a short-team deal to face Bashley.

But the Evesham boss is hopeful Sawyer will return in goal, while midfielder Sean Wood is suspended.
